Through this internship recruitment program, you will receive training and gain hands-on, practical experience while developing your technical and professional skills, all within a collaborative environment and a strong engineering culture.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduate student (S1/D4) at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). Technical divisions are open to the Class of 2026 only, while non-technical divisions are open to the Class of 2025 and 2026.

TECHNICAL DIVISIONS
Mechanical
Mission
Design and manufacture durable, efficient, and competition-ready robotic structures.
Focus
Robot mechanical design and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Design robot structures and mechanisms.
- Manufacture and assemble mechanical components.
- Operate manufacturing equipment safely.
- Conduct testing and improve mechanical performance.
Expected Skills
- CAD Engineering (Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, etc.)
- Manufacturing (bandsaw, drill, conventional/CNC machines, etc.)
Electrical
Mission
Develop reliable electronic and embedded systems that power the robot's performance.
Focus
Hardware and electronic system development.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic components, wiring, and power systems.
- Develop and integrate embedded systems using microcontrollers.
- Perform hardware testing and troubleshooting.
- Integrate sensors and actuators into the robot.

Programming
Mission
Develop intelligent software that enables the robot to perform autonomously and efficiently.

Software development and autonomous robot control.

- Test, debug, and optimize software performance.

NON-TECHNICAL DIVISIONS
Creative & Branding
The Creative & Branding division handles the creation and design of all visual content related to the team, including videos, graphics, and social media management. It builds a positive and professional image of the team for public consumption.
Requirements
- Proficiency in graphic design software.
- Experience with video production and editing tools.
- Creative mindset with a good eye for visual aesthetics.
- Ability to create engaging content to promote the team's image.
Sponsorship & Public Relations
The Sponsorship & Public Relations division manages events and agendas involving the team, maintains relationships with external stakeholders, and ensures effective public communication through social media. This division is also responsible for securing sponsorships and ensuring agreed-upon sponsorship benefits are delivered.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for external relations.
- Ability to negotiate and secure sponsorship deals.
- Enthusiasm for networking and maintaining external relations.
- Understanding of social media platforms for brand communication.
Administration & Finance
The Administration division is responsible for organizing the team's timeline and agenda, managing general team needs, archiving important documents, handling correspondence, and completing the paperwork required for competitions.
Requirements
- Able to handle and archive documents efficiently.
- Familiar with managing schedules and team activities.
- Able to manage official correspondence and maintain confidentiality.
- Committed and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Technical Dept

Administration & Finance
Prepare financial statements and a Cost Estimate (RAB) for RIVAL ITS TEAM to compete in the Thematic Robot Contest at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta.
External Relations & Sponsorship
Create a video that is at least 3 minutes and no more than 8 minutes long, in which you are a member of the RIVAL ITS Team in a single scene of the video. (English/Bahasa allowed)
Just as your rival team has finished the ARCH competition and won first place after being nominated for “Best Rookie Team” in its first year at ARCH, you are approached by a representative from PT Andi Sobo Langit as a potential sponsor for your rival team. You must explain your rival team’s achievements and its potential to attract sponsorship, answer various questions with confidence and professionalism, and convince the sponsor through persuasive communication.
Interview Scenario
- How do you feel about the ITS Rival Team’s victory?
- What are the ITS Rival Team’s strengths compared to other teams?
Presentation Scenario
- Deliver a presentation to a company to convince them of the benefits of sponsoring the ITS Rival Team. Speak directly without using PowerPoint or visual aids.
Creative & Branding
- Make a video introducing yourselfCreate a creative self-introduction video that’s at least 30 seconds long.
